 About Your Course Instructor
Wayne Sinquefield has been “actively working” in the beauty industry since March of 1976. Countless numbers of cosmetologists have benefited from Mr. Sinquefield’s in-person presentations--including stylists in over 40 states and several countries. For the first time, you can now draw from Sinquefield’s teaching via internet education. Sinquefield has to his credit 30 years experience including: “behind the chair,” “manufacturer's rep.,” “manufacturer,” and “award winning public presentation” experience. Numerous participations in major - national, and regional industry show formats. Sinquefield’s unique presentation style allows tremendously valuable information to be enthusiastically received by stylists regardless of industry experience.

Course Description
Maximizing Hair Color Knowledge / Maximizing Business Skills Online Course
is loaded with essential information to enhance any licensed cosmetologist’s job performance. The course begins with “essentials” and progresses to include in-depth, specific information as related to hair color formulations, challenges, corrective decisions, and chemistry of modern hair color that will strengthen newcomers and seasoned professionals as well. All hair color information is presented in a stylist friendly format, (written by a stylist, for stylists) non-specific to any one brand or manufacturer. Valuable information provided is applicable to all professional color lines cosmetologists have available to select from.
Included is the added benefit of salon “profitability,' Maximizing Business Skills. This portion of the text material addresses specific skills directly related to being profitable in the business of beauty. Maximizing Business Skills topics include: business “types,” marketing, establishing service pricing, booth rental / employee considerations, contract considerations, industry related statistical information, and practical, affordable marketing / promotional considerations of great value to strengthen new and existing clientele. The benefit of salon “profitability” extends beyond additional income. Maximizing your Business Skills will provide you “energetic freedom” through systems that will allow you to more fully appreciate your “artistic” contributions to your business.

Course Specifics
This course is Approved and Intended for the use of North Carolina licensed Cosmetologists and Cosmetology Instructors. North Carolina State Board of Cosmetic Art requires cosmetologists to complete twelve credit hours of education for each year of license renewal period. (24 hours every three years). The board now allows cosmetologists to complete up to 8 hours (every three years) through approved internet courses. Eight Hour Course: This course, by design, requires 8 hours to complete. This course is approved for 8 hours. No hours are provided for partial completion. (This course is most beneficial when taken from beginning to end with minimal breaks and disturbances. You can however take up to 5 days to complete the material)
Upon full receipt of Course Payment,
major credit card and completion of course material, HairColorDoctor Inc. will submit to the North Carolina State Board of Cosmetic Art all state required information for your C.E. “hours.”

Course Completion Certificate: Completion Verification will be sent to you via e-mail from HairColorDoctor Inc. Your “hours” are processed (accredited) electronically, as required by the North Carolina State Board of Cosmetic Art. Course attendees will receive a hard copy Certificate of Completion within 30 days.
License Renewal:
Course Completion is not the same as license renewal. You must complete your “hours” and also “renew” your license with the North Carolina State Board of Cosmetic Art prior to your license expiration date.
N.C. CE Exemptions
A new law passed in August 2006, exempts cosmetologists who have completed 20 years of consecutive experience as of October 1, 2004, from continuing education (CE) requirements for renewal. This includes all cosmetologists licensed on or before October 1, 1984. Those licensees who have completed 20 years of experience in 2005 must still satisfy the CE requirement.
The previous CE exemption requiring licensees to have 10 years of experience and be 60 years of age remains unchanged. To ensure that qualified licensees receive exemption status, they must complete and mail in the correct exemption form. www.cosmetology.state.nc.us.
